6) Provision of public education (civic education)

There is constant need to educate communities including expanding democratic space in Kenya and citizenry’s lack adequate information from time to time. The retrenched workers are knowledgeable and their skills are important at the community where they live.

As an organization, we have been providing civic education under the Government to change the constitution in 2005, a project we did very successfully.  We are well positioned to partner with other development partners to make a contribution in enlightening the community elections for leaders, voters’ rights, monitor elections and promote transparency for the wellbeing of many in the society.

We have a duty to inform the public to demand from the duty bearer to be responsive.  Bad labour laws need to be changed in Kenya and therefore research funding and facilitation of publications is needed.
